At Brolliesgalore we continue to have more exciting new stock arriving this Autumn, particularly in our Art Umbrella lines. We see the return of an old favourite in this blog post with some iconic art umbrellas featuring the paintings of Jack Vettriano. Jack Vettriano is a Scottish Painter, whose iconic 1992 painting has become the best selling image in Britain. Originally from Fife, he left school at 16 to become a mining engineer. Throughout his 20s painting had been a hobby of his, but most of his work went unnoticed. In 1987 he moved to Edinburgh after his divorce and applied to study Fine Art at the University of Edinburgh, but his portfolio was rejected. In 1988 however, Vettriano submitted two canvases for the Royal Scottish Academy's annual show and both of his painting sold on the first day, with Vettriano being approached by several galleries who wished to sell his work. He has gone one to have successful exhibitions worldwide and is a world-reknowned artist. At Brolliesgalore we are so please to be able to offer these Vettriano art umbrellas once more.
